Weekend Worship Service Tech Director

Job Summary

WestCoast Church is seeking a skilled and reliable Weekend Worship Service Tech Director to oversee live audio production for weekly worship services and online service recordings. This is a critical role requiring professional training or a high level of real-world technical expertise to ensure consistent, high-quality sound, lighting, and video production for both in-person and online audiences.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, able to lead a team that is committed to excellence in a live production environment.

Ministry Area: Live Service Production

Position Type: Part time

Schedule: Sundays + Worship Team Rehearsals

Compensation: Contract pay / hourly

Reports To: Overseeing Pastor

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the live sound, lighting, and video production for weekend worship services
• Manage the audio mix for both in-room sound and online service recordings
• Support worship team rehearsals and music practices
• Ensure proper setup, operation, and teardown of all sound, lighting and video equipment
• Monitor audio, lighting and video quality throughout services and rehearsals
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Support tech systems maintenance and equipment upgrades
• Collaborate with worship leader, musicians and tech team volunteers

Required Qualifications

• Professional training or advanced experience in live sound, lighting, and video production
• Proven ability to mix live music and audio for speakers
• Strong understanding of signal flow, microphones, and monitoring systems
• Ability to remain focused and composed in live production environments

Schedule & Commitment

• Every Sunday morning required
• Attendance at Bi-weekly worship team practices
• Availability to assist with technical upgrades and system improvements

Compensation

• Part-time / contract compensation based on experience. Room to grow into a full-time role.
